Baked Pears with Cranberry Wine Sauce
This is a light and delicious dessert. You can also serve with a little fat-free frozen yogurt or fat-free whipped topping.
Ingredients:
4 ripe, firm dessert pears (peeled, cored and cut into quarters)
1/3 cup red wine
¼ cup dried cranberries
Cinnamon and nutmeg for sprinkling
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350F. Place the pear quarters in a baking dish and pour the wine over the pears. Scatter the chopped cranberries over the pears and sprinkle with a little nutmeg and cinnamon. Bake for approximately 20 minutes or until tender.
